Preview: Grand Theft Auto IV: The Lost and Damned
Rockstar Games first introduced Grand Theft Auto in 1997, and the game has now progressed tremendously over the years. We are now in year 2009, and Rockstar are busy with the latest version of the hit game, GTA IV: The Lost and Damned.
Grand Theft Auto allows the player absolute freedom to reveal his or her inner-criminal, by doing convict-things such as stealing, killing and most importantly, hi-jacking helpless drivers.
GTA: The Lost and Damned is an add-on version for the original GTA IV game, and we feel sad to report that it seems like the game will only be available on the Xbox console.
So, you might be asking, what’s the game about? Well, it starts off with you playing the role of Johnny, a veteran member of the Lost motorcycle gang, and you will be faced with two options, either enjoy the onslaught which is coming, or try and slow the crime down.
New parts to the game include new area’s to explore, new weapons and a range of new missions on the side, along with the main quest. Other extra’s to the game will include new radio stations and a few extra cartoons.. If you’re into that kinda thing.
We’re hoping that Rockstar have improved a few things with the game, such as interaction with non-playable characters, which seemed to be a bit of a problem in the old game. An example of this would be, when you just held up a bank and you were busy fleeing the scene, when you decide to steal a car and the guy gets stuck by the car, not allowing you to enter.
GTA IV: The Lost and Damned will have new weapons for you to shoot people with, and some new game-play features for your bike. There are also new vehicles which will apparently feel more real being driven.
Rockstar have also updated the multi-player platform with more guns, more cars and a whole new battle field. Achievement fans will also be happy to hear about new achievements to unlock.
