Bioshock 2 First Gameplay Footage

The first gameplay trailer for Bioshock 2: Sea of Dreams has just been released. To outline the basic plot, Bioshock 2 is set ten years after the first game. Reports from various towns around the world indicate that young girls are being kidnapped, and the only description available for the attackers is that they are “thin” with red lights either being worn by them or spotted nearby in the sea. One of the attackers is the Big Sister (one of the Little Sisters from the first Bioshock) who has converted herself into a type of Big Daddy and has taken full control of Rapture, the underwater city. She claims that she “actively maintains the city’s infrastructure, and viciously hunts anyone down who disrupts the balance of power.” On the other hand, Tenenbaum, the founder of ADAM and creator of the Little Sisters, reports that the Big Sister has been kidnapping girls and turning them into monsters…much like herself. That’s all there is for the plot summary and already it’s beginning to sound exciting – and a bit creepy.

Bioshock 2 will be available on PC, PS3 and Xbox360, and it’s release date is expected to be on the 30th of December 2009. Be sure to check eGamer in the future when there are more updates regarding this sequel. Enjoy the trailer.
