Duke Nukem Forever 90% Complete
It was recently stated by George Broussad of 3D Realms, developers of Duke Nukem Forever, that the game is now 90% complete. The emphasis is on “forever” here, because long time gamers and fans of the series will remember it being announced way back in April of 1997, ultimately meaning that the game has been development for a shocking 12 years – and counting. Even worse, is that over the years there have been hardly any details given on this title. We only have a few screenshots, the revelation of it being a multi-platform game and many delays to go on. There is also the exciting fact that longtime voice actor for Duke Nukem, Jon St. John, will make a return to do his job and the music composers, Jeremy and Julian Soule, will also be making a comeback to add their music contributions. As a final fact, again according to Broussad, with the game being 90% finished, there are only 71 tasks left to complete. It sounds like a heck of a lot, but keep in mind that originally Duke Nukem Forever had 800-900 tasks to tackle during development.
To conclude, with the game being 90% complete, could the rumours possibly be true and will Duke Nukem Forever finally see a release this year? Only time will tell, but be sure to check eGamer in the near future for any updates regarding this title. If it doesn’t come out this year, or at least get a confirmed release date, then “forever” it may definitely be.
