Game Swapping – The Cheap Alternative to fight the credit crunch
With credit crunch and all going on, this seems to be the perfect alternatives. Cheap Ass Gamers and other sites are running certain systems.
Cheap Ass Gamers (CAG) has made/introduced a new feature. Their new “Price e-mail alerts” feature will notify you when a price changes to its all time low that you have set. So say you set the price to $10 on a game that is $50, as soon as the pricing goes down to $10 it will notify you letting you know that you can get the game. However, keep in mind that you do need to put a realistic low price otherwise you not going to be getting any messages.
I quoted the prices in dollars as the deal is only available on UK and US deals. Keep in mind that you have to be a member of the CAG site to be able to use it.
Goozex another site has a pretty awesome system also. The site gets its name from the lengthened form of Goods Exchange. Where you trade in games to get points, which you can use to swap for other games. They have a catalogue of over 27,000 games ranging from PC to Xbox to PS, meaning that they got a game for any platform you have. They have been voted as the best for games trading by Electronic Gaming Monthly and GamesRadar.
And last but not least 1up.com. As a extension to its other gaming services offered it has introduced the game swapping option, though this does not seem to be the main feature and not much info is out on it yet.
