AC2 development team is triple the size

AC2 development team is triple the size

Sebastian Puel of Ubisoft has revealed that the development team behind Assassins Creed 2 is approximately three times as large compared to the team working on the first game. This time around, the team amounts to roughly 450 members. This is not too hard to believe considering the magnitude of today’s games, but it still remains surprising and intruiging to hear.

The following comments made by Sebastian in an interview with NowGamer confirms the announcement as well as tells us more: “The team’s size for the second title of Assassin’s Creed 2 is about three times the size of the team of the first game. Making Assassin’s Creed from A to Z took around four years. It’s a very good thing we are keeping most of the core members who envisioned the first Assassin’s Creed. They know the project very well.”

Sebastian followed up to say that “thousands of ideas” which never made it into the original Assassins Creed will make an appearance in the sequel. Hearing that really makes you wonder what kind of things are in store for the upcoming sequel. Assassins Creed 2 is scheduled for release in the fourth quarter of this year. Hopefully a lot more will be revealed on the game at E3 next month.
