Bite Size News: Sting Opertaion on retailers.

What is the world coming to nowadays? The police now actually have an operation where they target retailers that sell games that are rated “Mature” to under-age teens.

They had a 14 year old volunteer who went into stores and attempted to purchase a “Mature” rated video game; of the 14 stores they went to only 4 refrained from selling it to the child.

Only in the UK it seems are such mundane laws enforced, the law is as follows:

The Video Recordings Act 1984 states that shops which sell 18-rated videogames to anyone below that age can face fines of up to £5000, and in some cases offenders could face up to six-months in prison.

As to why they are not focusing their efforts to thwart the rise of murders and crime in our current world I don’t know.
