Hitman 5 in development – not confirmed just yet

In a recent interview with the Eidos president, conducted by GamingIndians, the topic of Hitman 5 came up. After the revelations of Thief 4, Deus Ex 3, Tomb Raider 9 and the discussion regarding their high opinions of Batman: Arkham Asylum, Eidos seem to be making their way to the top of the charts. One title I think many would still like to know more about would definitely be Hitman 5, and it seems GamingIndians remembered to bring it up. They asked the following of the Eidos President: “Can you give us some details about the next Hitman game?”

He replied with: It’s being worked on, but there’s been no announcement on the release date yet. We haven’t even announced the game yet, so everything you hear about the next Hitman game is purely speculation at this point.

So the conclusion is that Hitman 5 is definitely on the cards. Once Eidos sort through all the details, we’ll hopefully hear an announcement. Until then – wait for it.

    I hope Hitman 5 makes it debut soon.

    @Pete
    Do I sense some sarcasm there :D ? I would certainly hope not! Give me Hitman 5 and Thief 4 any day, but don’t send me Tomb Raider 9 and NeedForSpeed 20… :P

    i don’t think hitman5 will be coming along until the end 2010 when you consider that Eidos have already been working on batman arkham asylum and Thief IV. theya re definitely making a comeback and should soon be back up there with Ubisoft. isn’t it weird how all Eidos really makes are stealth / action games. i belive it’s all part of a big conspiracy…

    You’re right, I don’t think we’ll see Hitman 5 for a long time either. Neither do I think we’ll see Thief IV this year. However, Arkham Asylum is definitely set for a 2009 release.

    Haha, they do have two major stealth action franchises to their name (Thief and Hitman) and now with Arkham Asylum they seem to be making a habit of it. But I guess if they got the skills I’m all for it, because you can never have enough good stealth games these days.

    :)

    I think they sticking to stealth because it’s what they know and what they good at. I’m really looking forward to this game though, i just love to kill people especially as 47 the man, the legend.
