And we’re back! Week 14 – Results and Voting!

Welcome back everyone! We hope you are well rested from week 13, things are going to be heating up here at Koth once more. Right now miNt Gaming is still our King team, standing proudly on top of the the Hill, and the scoreboard, with a total of 3 points.

We have various announcements to make so please take a moment to read through them:

After some discussion and various emails we have updated our Rules and Regulations, if all participants would be so kind as to go read the updated set please.

This week we are also officially finished moving over to the Dota version, 6.61b. We hope to not only to stay ahead of the game by introducing this version, but also to see some nice strat-shuffling take place in matches as teams will have to adjust their strategies accordingly.

We know many of you have been wondering about this, and so we are glad to announce that the not-so-old, not-so-retired players of Just Juking (jj.dota) will also be joining the fray from this week onwards.

And speaking of joining the fray, with our co-admin Blink busy hunting a wife in the UK we are happy to announce that Richard ‘Demonik’ is our newest addition the the Koth Admin Team. We hope Richard can take the heat coz this kitchen gets broiling!

Lastly we have some double taped news to announce. Rectron will remain our proud Prize Sponsor, but unfortunately can no longer sponsor an unlimited supply of prizes. Thus we we have to change our prize structure, from that of a tier’d structure to a winner-takes-all structure. The upside to this is that our prizes are now guaranteed to be top notch! The winning team at the end of week 25 (24 + 1 break week) will be walking away with some really legendary hardware!!

    So this meant that Blizzy has helped Mint into the winning place… but cant have any of the prizes if they win because he has now gone to JJ with 0 points?

    Yeah Visions, I am also wondering about that. I remember this has been debated before, back when we had to choose the mode of the tournament. When KOTH was chosen, the admins said that no subs will be allowed (if my memory serves me right). I am guessing over the time they were lenient. My guess would be Blizzy was never registered with miNt and therefore can’t expect to receive any prizes, even though the members who receive prizes migh decide to share with him.

    As for Phant1m, JJ has played against miNt plenty of times, just under a different name: bvd

    @ bunny, I am guessing it will either be swissroll, mouth or Valprax. Seeing as Swissroll and Mouth haven’t really been very active, I bet it will be Valprax.

    PS: Valprax eh? I havent seen that nick on twighlight war3 server once…? Does he go by an aka? Or what?

    I still think JJ should have a go vs mint just cause BvD vs Mint has always been a > match imo

    Valprax is in our main team (he’s been around a lot longer than you VOA), but it just so happens that tuesday evenings are just about the only time he can’t play (which sucks). So we have to use the 5 you’ve been seeing for the last few weeks since swissroll/mouth no longer play (inactive).

    @Sloj: Im sure he has been, I just dont see him in games… Is it possible that he pretty much only plays saihl or clannies? I mean, i dont think ive seen him like once or twice in a pub if at all? I wasn’t trying to be cocky etc.

    Me Flipi and Valprax were in a clan together last year. Valprax has taught us both more in that time than we have learned in years. (cant really speak on behalf of flipi, but im sure he will agree with me).
