Assassin’s Creed 2 PC Delayed to 2010
It’s unfortunately the truth. Ubisoft’s Twitter has confirmed that the PC version of upcoming Assassin’s Creed 2 will be delayed until the first quarter of 2010. The Tweet supplies a brief explanation of their reasoning, claiming that they need “a bit more time for the dev team to deliver the best quality game to you.” However it was clarified that this delay will not affect the release dates of the PlayStation 3 and Xbox360 versions of the game, which are going to be out on the 17th of November in the U.S and on the 20th in Europe. It seems that 2010 is becoming quite crowded with all these delayed games, such as Dark Void, Bioshock 2, God of War 3 and so on. The first Assassin’s Creed game also had a late PC release, so perhaps this is a continuation of that “trend”, for lack of a better term. While I’m very disappointed to hear this, the goods news is that the game will still arrive on the PS3 and Xbox360 this November. To hopefully soften the blow for PC gamers, the PC version might just turn out for the better due to the delay, similarly to that of the first Assassin’s Creed on PC, as it might include extra missions or Nvidia’s Phys-X engine or...something. This probably doesn’t make the situation any better, but hey, it’s something at least.
