Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time release date set

Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time release date set

The official release date has been revealed for upcoming PS3 exclusive, Rachet and Clank: A Crack in Time. The game will be releasing in the U.S on Tuesday, the 27th of October 2009. As for a South African release date, various sources indicate that the game will arrive on the 28th of October, so unless there’s a change in dates anytime soon you can expect to see the game here on that day. The game will be priced at roughly R629-699 depending on where you make your purchase. Sony have also revealed details on the bonuses involved for those who decide to pre-order the game (content may change depending on where you pre-order it). The extras, for those who pre-order the game, include:

  • “Discovery Package” Explore the Insomniac Moon with a special level that resembles the layout of Insomniac Games’ studio offices. A fan favorite, the Moon is filled with content that didn’t quite make the final game, sort of like deleted scenes on DVDs. The moon is also unlockable.
  • “Power Package” Up your arsenal with an exclusive weapon skin for one of Ratchet’s weapons along with extra hit points and Ratchet’s brand new Cryo Mine Glove.
  • “Bolt Package” Bolster your bolt count with 5,000 free bolts care of Ratchet’s most bolt-centric power-ups, the Bolt Magnetizer and Box Basher.
  • “Space Package” Drift off into space with an exclusive hot rod skin for Ratchet’s ship, the Aphelion, along with 5,000 free bolts and an exclusive Ratchet & Clank PlayStation Home Avatar skin.

Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time, the third Ratchet and Clank game to appear on the PS3 thus far, will be releasing next month on the 27th of October. Personally, a new Ratchet and Clank game is good and all, but I’m far more interested in hearing about Resistance 3, which we will hopefully hear about soon considering Insomniac seem to work in cycles when it comes to Resistance and Ratchet and Clank.

I totally agree with your last paragraph. R2 had the craziest ending, it’s pretty hard to predict what’s gonna happen in R3. Putting Resistance aside, I am looking forward to playing this new R&C game. The first 1 I played was Tools of Destruction and I enjoyed it surprisingly enough. I always used to think R&cC games were crap until I played Tools of Destruction.

Yeah, I agree :D Resistance 2′s end was really quite shocking. I can’t wait to see the third game and what their plans for it are. I mean Resistance 2 had practically everything included: an awesome single player mode, great multiplayer, a special, unique online co-op mode and it also enhanced the PSP game, Resistance Retribution, by adding bonus content when you connect your PSP up to R2. It was basically paying for three games for the price of one. So it leaves me wondering what they’re going to do with Resistance 3 regarding the online and such.

Resistance aside, I enjoyed Tools of Destruction for a time but Rachet and Clank isn’t really my type of game to be honest. :D

Well it doesn’t take much to impress me, I like all game, except 4 RTS’s. There are some genres of games that I like more than others such as Resistance over Ratchet & Clank, but games in general are fun.
