Sounds and looks FANTASTIC(Russel Peters accent). I still think I should play the game first to comment fully, but going by this review and all the hype, this game looks like a keeper :)

I definitely agree, it is a massive step in the right direction, but I would also say it's as close to perfect as you can get right now in comic book super hero games. Regarding the atmosphere, I doubt it's design flaws as they did really well in lots of areas. I think that they didn't consistently try to give the game that kind of feel, but rather only in set parts during the game, and when they do try to create an atmosphere, make no mistake, they do an awesome job.

lol, but see, the AI is fine throughout the game, it's just when they lack guns you're practically allowed to stand on a rock and they won't do anything, but when you're on ground level they'll play their part right. They could have at least made the AI throw rocks and objects at you in this situation.

Yes, the game is most definitely awesome :D

flaws are to be expected in a superhero game, it's become the trademark of the genre. BAA does however do a lot to make up for them and might not be perfect but is a HUGE step in the right direction. that is superhero games which are awesome.
perhaps the developers didn't fully capatalise on the environment and atmosphere because they tried to keep away from the horror/thriller genre. then again it could just be design flaws.
AI is always going to be like living cookie dough running at you in western games (could be for realism).
otherwise the game looks awesome, sounds awesome and feels awesome (yes i held the box).
BELIEVE IT.
