Bad Company 2 Limited Edition detailed
It has been announced that there will be a Limited Edition of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 releasing on the 2nd of March 2010. The Limited Edition brings four vehicle upgrades and two classic Battlefield 1943 weapons to the player – at no additional cost. What this means is that, for those who pick up the game early, you’re going to be paying the same price as anyone else does for the regular game, except you’re going to be getting some in-game bonuses. The Bad Company 2 Limited Edition isn’t your standard collector’s edition, where you generally pay a higher price for the same game with unneeded extras – it’s just the same game, with no additional cost, which provides some in-game extras to buyers. These six special customisations (the four vehicle upgrades and two guns) that are included in the Limited Edition actually do feature in the regular game as well, but the difference is that the Limited Edition buyers receive them on day one while those who buy the regular game have to unlock them. Basically, those who buy the Limited Edition will get an advantage in multiplayer, which is fair since you’re buying the game early.
The four vehicle upgrades include improved armor, extra weapon mounts, a motion sensor for detecting nearby enemies, and a tracer dart pistol that marks enemy vehicles to be tracked by rockets, even when outside of your line of sight. The two guns from Battlefield 1943, which are included in the Limited Edition, is the M1A1 submachine gun and the M1911 pistol. I’m not entirely sure of availibility of the Bad Company 2 Limited Edition in South Africa, but it has been confirmed that it will go on sale in North America on the 2nd of March 2010, sold at retail (more appropriately, places that are involved in the sale of the Limited Edition) while supplies last.
