Doom Classic Will Soon Be Available On The Apple iPhone

Doom & iPhone fanatical fans will be super pleased to hear that Doom, the iPhone edition, will be ready pretty soon.

John Carmack has been working on the new Doom Classic for the iPhone for quite a while now, and he’s said that the game has been submitted to Apple for approval. The game be operated by the player swiping and tilting the phone to blast bad guys away.

The Doom iPhone Classic should support Wi-Fi multiplayer as well as Bluetooth connectivity.

    I never had the luxury of playing the original Doom – I think it was before my time (well, if it’s more than 16 years old then yes, it’s before my time) and neither do I own an iPhone :P

    Still, my cousin does, so if possible I can head over to him when this is released and “steal” his iPhone to play this game – will definitely be fun! :D

    The LAN feature would probably be cool as well… I also want the GTI racing game, but it’s not yet available in South Africa.. Sigh :<
