October’s Game Releases!

October’s Game Releases!

September was definitely a great month for gamers as there were some awesome games released, note particularly to Batman: Arkham Asylum, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, Guitar Hero 5, Halo ODST and even Need 4 Speed: Shift is apparently good. Yep, September was a great month. Now it seems the streak will continue as we’re now entering the month of October and there seems to be some potentially great games on offer. I’m not sure how exactly one can effectively manage their cash, taking into account all of the games still to come, specifically in November, next month. Anyway, got a bit sidetracked, so without further delay eGamer presents October’s game releases.

Note: The games listed here are not all games being released in October, but rather the more noticeable ones.
Note: eGamer’s “MA” (most anticipated) title for the month is the last game in the article.

eGamer’s MA title for May

ss_preview_Uncharted_2_screen_6.bmp

This month’s most anticipated title is Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. The first game, Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, was a great game that combined shooting, platforming and puzzle solving fantastically, allowing the game to be very engaging. While the game was really good, it wasn’t perfect and I wouldn’t have considered to it to be game of the year material, but on the contrary the game was solid on all fronts, had awesome gameplay, spectacular visuals and very likable characters – and it was undeniable that it had a certain charm to it which made it a very popular title. It was definitely one of the best games on the PlayStation 3 at the time. I can easily say that Uncharted is, or will be, the successor of the Tomb Raider series. Now, this month we see one of the PlayStation 3′s most anticipated titles released, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and the progression and new features the game displays is definitely getting all of us PS3 owners very excited for it. However there isn’t much I can say that fans and PS3 owners don’t already know about the game, so in closing, check back later this month for the full review on eGamer.

Name: Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

PS3 – R629-699

That finishes off October’s releases. Hell, some of these games look and sound to be awesome and it’s going to be tough to look through them and filter out the must-buys. Last month was an excellent month for gaming and it seems that October will be no different. What’s better (or worse?) is that we haven’t even reached the holidays yet. Anyway, you know the drill, look out on the 1st of November for a full list of its game releases.

    Nice Tody :-)

Defiantly one of the most useful articles! Ok this is a bit Embarrassing but i got Drakes Fortune with my PS3 and the disc is still sitting in the box… Maybe i should give it a go, you seem to rate it quite highly!

  • Tody

    Thanks Strega :D

From next month, I will be adding a little bit more information to this feature article, mainly a brief description of each game to be released so readers have a decent idea of what they’re about! So look out for that on the 1st of November :)

You should definitely play Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, it’s one of the PlayStation 3′s must-plays :D I do indeed think highly of it and would definitely recommend it :P

  • Bukris

Mr Tody, i thought fifa was comming out tommorow the 2nd. What u tuneing 20th. :/

  • Tody

    @Bukris

FIFA 2010 has a confusing variation of release dates and I think I made a mistake when I was checking through them, thanks a lot for pointing it out. See part of the confusion is that there is a game FIFA Soccer 10 and FIFA 10 which I thought were the exact same thing (and I’m still confused with the two) :)

Anyway, I checked online on Take2.co.za and they seem to have FIFA 10 in stock so I updated the article. Thanks again for pointing that out to me :D

I still gotta pre-order uncharted 2 before its too late and I still wanna get Ratchet & Clank because its flippin funny. I’m not really sure if I wanna get Tekken 6, its got nice grafix but Tekken never always fells the same to me. I’ll probably find someone the I can borrow Tekken from. November is gonna be the greatest month of this year because the 2 greatest game (IMO) are coming out then. November is AWESOME!

  • sage of the six paths

My bad it seems I made a mistake, that never is not supposed to be there, I meant Tekken always fells the same to me.

  • Itachi-owns-all

October only means 1 thing to a person with no X-Box or PS3……..
That is that FIFA and PES 2010 are coming!!!!! YAY YAY :D

And I’ll be enjoying it on my ever reliable PS2 :)

  • Itachi-owns-all

I think sage of the six paths means “Tekken always FELLS the same” ;) Jokes :D
