Activision: 2010 brings more Call of Duty, more Guitar Hero, more sequels!
In a recent earnings Q&A earlier today, Activision commented a little on their 2010 game line-up. I don’t think you’ll be surprised in the least to discover that their line-up includes new Call of Duty, Guitar Hero and Spider-Man games – and a Shrek game which will probably be based on next year’s movie (god save us all from this undying, fat green ogre). Well, I guess this was inevitable, but it’s still a bit disappointing to hear. Personally, I’d only be interested in another Spider Man game if it decides to improve the experience and deliver a similar stand-alone game like Web of Shadows or, better yet, try to best Batman: Arkham Asylum – although that’s wishful thinking. Regarding a new Guitar Hero, while I don’t have much experience with the game, I still think they are making sequels for it far too often. At least, if I recall correctly, Guitar Hero 5 had backward compatibility with the other games in the series (which is what should always be there), so hopefully future sequels will continue this trend.
Lastly, with Call of Duty, I’ve lost interest and hope for Modern Warfare 2 since Infinity Ward decided to cancel dedicated servers and then move on to announce a few other nasty things that hurt the game further. Since Infinity Ward are doing Modern Warfare 2, you can expect to see Treyarch on “Operation Call of Duty 7″. I’m really not looking forward to another World War II outing, but hey, we’ll leave it up to the future to decide.
I guess this is Activision just being themselves here, but either way, let’s wait and see what 2010 brings, I mean, we haven’t even finished 2009 yet. The best is yet to come! Well, not to say that some of them haven’t already arrived.

New games plz
And GH is a must!
I know that Treyarch have been begging Activision and IW to let them do a Call of Duty with a modern setting for ages.
I hope they get their wish, because it could be a great result judging by their sudden change of attitude towards the PC community, and actually giving them what they want.
a new Guitar Hero with some decent songs like GHIII wud be nice.
