Gran Turismo 5 delay due to “marketing reasons”

Upcoming PS3 exclusive racer, Gran Turismo 5 has already been confirmed to be releasing in Japan in March of 2010. However, the international release for the game is still hanging and apparently the reason for the international version’s delay is “marketing”. This was stated by series creator and Polyphony Digital head Kazunori Yamauchi who said the following, during an interview with Autoweek, when asked about the international release: “We will release [GT5] in March in Japan but for other regions, it has not been decided yet. That’s more depending on SCEA (Sony Computer Entertainment America) marketing decisions”. So there you have it, Gran Turismo 5 will be released in March of 2010 in Japan only, but unfortunately we’re still waiting for a North American and European release date to be announced. Hopefully, we should have a confirmation soon and, when we do, we’ll let you know.
