International Final Fantasy XIII COULD be released before April 2010

As you probably know by now, Final Fantasy XIII will be released exclusively in Japan this December. The international version is only scheduled for release on an unconfirmed date somewhere in 2010 next year. However, due to recent news, we might just be lucky and receive the game before April 2010. At a recent financial briefing, Square Enix announced that sales were up 33.2 percent and profits dropped 55.7 percent. This led Square Enix Yoichi Wada to comment that “progress is good” on the international version of FFXIII. So how does this help, you might ask? Well, currently it’s possible to get FFXIII released this financial year – which ends in April of 2010. What this means is that, if all goes well, we might just might see the game being released earlier rather than later. We still await an official announcement or confirmed release date from Square Enix, of which we’re sure we will [hopefully] get soon enough. We’re not entirely sure if Yoichi Wada’s comments regarding the international version were directed at both the North American and European versions of the game, but that will become clear in the future. Look out for any news on Final Fantasy XIII, for PS3 and Xbox360, in the near future – although we do know that we’ll get it by Q2 (second quarter) of 2010, that’s for sure.
