Here’s The Third Concept Art For Dead Space 2!

As you probably know, Dead Space 2 was officially announced two days ago, and needless to say most of us here are quite excited for it. Yesterday, or rather reported early this morning, we got hold of an image of a cover of a magazine that showed off Isaac Clarke’s new Engineer suit. While we’re still waiting for some solid in-game footage or information, it seems that Visceral Games are going to consistently tease us all with tiny bits of information and images (the evil bastards!), so I guess we might as well fly with it, right? Naturally, before we get down to analysing this latest piece of concept art, you have to check it out first, so take a look below.

Looks pretty cool doesn’t it? But it’s not all that exciting, because us gamers always want to see the real deal. In the above image, we can see a large marker, rocks that don’t look to be in good shape and, if you look closely to the left, you can see some kind of town/colony in the background. Could this perhaps be the planet, or one of them, that will host the next Necromorph attack? We’re interested to find out. However the one questionable thing here is that it was pointed out that this latest picture is very similar to a piece of concept art for the first Dead Space. Are they perhaps talking about this one?

Sorry about the image’s quality, it was really small so I had to enlarge it. You can still make out some very interesting similarities between the two though, although I’m not entirely sure if the concept art above is the one that was accused of being too similar. Laziness or a trend? I’m not sure, but regardless, Dead Space 2 has still gotten me interested. We’ll keep you updated with the latest developments.
