VGA: Batman – Arkham Asylum 2 (It’s coming!)

This is certainly not a surprise, especially when considering the massive success of Batman: Arkham Asylum – the best super hero game ever made. In addition to most of the world, we at eGamer also thought so when we reviewed the game. Now, at the Video Games Awards, Rocksteady, the developers of Arkham Asylum, and Eidos stepped up to announce Batman: Arkham Asylum 2. A debut trailer for the game was released alongside this announcement, which shows us the entire city of Gotham under siege by the now crippled Joker, Harley Quinn and his gang of thugs. Is this telling us that the next game will take place in Gotham City – making the game open world? We can’t wait to find out.

Check out the video below. There is no word on release dates just yet, but I sure as hell hope we’ll be seeing this game in 2010. I’m guessing late 2010. Batman: Arkham Asylum 2 will most likely be released on PC, PS3 and Xbox360 – same as the first game.
