Yahoo Proves That Google Is Smarter… [Mega PS3 FAIL!]

Yahoo has surprised us with a review of the Sony PlayStation 3. The site was reviewing a few Christmas gifts which consumers might be interested in, where they stated that it was all fun and games “until the battery dies.”

Yahoo need to catch a wake up, because last I checked, you can recharge the remotes.

“It’s all fun and games until the battery dies,” claims Yahoo writer Anne Kadet. “Unlike its competitors, which use replaceable AA batteries, the PS3’s remote control is glued shut. When the battery goes, Sony customers have to blow $55 on a new controller.”

Someone should call her up and just remind her that it can be recharged, you won’t need to buy a new remote each time.

Congratulations, you’ve won stupid-of-the-month. What is stupid-of-the-month? We’ll it’s an award I generally give people that are, uh, stupid.

My favourite line was.. It’s glued shut!

Because yes, Sony had a row of Japs with Super Glue sitting at every remote gluing it.

That is one of the stupidest things I have ever heard. With your PlayStation 3 you get a manual, a controller AND a USB cable to plug your controller INTO your PS3 and charge it

She honestly thought that you have to spend R500 or so to get a brand new controller every single time the battery dies? Wow, just wow. Bringing stupidity to a whole new level that is.

I wouldn’t be surprised if she had attempted to violently rip the back part of the controller off to look for the place to put batteries in. :P
