Heavy Rain sequel is unlikely

Heavy Rain sequel is unlikely

David Cage, founder of developer Quantic Dream, has stated that a sequel to upcoming PlayStation 3 exclusive title, Heavy Rain, is not on the cards. This is being said before the game actually releases, so it’s quite solid. However, David Cage’s reasoning for not wanting to do a sequel is apparently because he’s already told the story he wanted to in Heavy Rain, which means there would be nothing, story-wise, to have in a sequel. “I don’t want to do a sequel because I’ve said what I had to say about these characters and this story,” he said. “Honestly, I have nothing else to say,” he added.

David Cage also spoke a little about the planned downloadable content for Heavy Rain, saying “The game tells a full story, nothing is missing from it. The approach to DLC was to say, let’s work on prequels. What led the characters to be who they are in Heavy Rain? What happened to them before?”

Heavy Rain will be releasing exclusively on PlayStation 3 next month in North America, Europe and, of course, here in South Africa.
