NIER due to release in Spring 2010

While we haven’t gotten an exact date, a window release date for Square Enix’s upcoming action RPG for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox360, NIER, has been revealed to us. Square Enix officially announced that NIER will be releasing in Spring 2010 for PS3 and Xbox360. Unfortunately, this window release only applies to the North American version of the game, because as it stands there has been no mention of a release date for Europe – which means the game, right now, won’t be coming to South Africa either. If you’re interested, you’re going to have to import it.

NIER was claimed to be the newest franchise from Square Enix, which just might be a hint that they plan to do some sequels for it. NIER will be rated “M” and as expected will focus on intense action and story – the story is set in a world “plagued by human anguish, buried secrets and a ravaging disease.” which sure sounds interesting to us. NIER will be releasing this Spring, we’ll get back to you if we get a South African release date for the game.
