Nintendo’s CEO Was Unimpressed With The iPad… He Also Thinks That 3D Gaming Is A Joke
Nintendo’s bossman, Satoru Iwata has said that the new Apple iPad is essentially a “bigger iPod Touch.” The Nintendo CEO has denied speculation regarding new gadgets for the DS range, and this includes motion sensor technology similar to the iPad.
“I question whether those features would be enough to get people to buy new machines,” he said. He then added that the engineers at Nintendo are working on new machines.
Satoru also followed up with comments on 3D gaming. He said that he doesn’t expect things like “Avatar” to catch on. “I have doubts whether people will be wearing glasses to play games at home. How is that going to look to other people?”
Sony is currently working on 3D TV’s for sport, as well as gaming.
Lastly, Satoru said that he was unimpressed with the iPad, and there was nothing to hide with this statement.
