The Microsoft Arc Keyboard For South Africa — Good For Gaming?

Microsoft South Africa has announced that the new Arc will find its way to our local market. The keyboard will be curved, and it will offer smooth, crisp typing.

“The design tenets that we looked to for the Arc Keyboard were simplicity and crisp softness, creating an aesthetic for this product that is casual and sophisticated at the same time,” said Monique Chatterjee, industrial designer for Microsoft Hardware. “We drew our design inspiration directly from the places where we envision this product will be used so it perfectly blends with existing home accessories.”

The price is set at R800, but do you think this would be a good investment for gaming?

Im currently using the Arc Mouse and finding it pretty good for gaming thus far, though I’d like to see something in this series designed purposefully for gaming since I find abit of joy in playing with these types of gear. Though I do suggest thinking twice about the price since I paid R800 for the mouse and it came down dramtically in the past few months.

A long wait before this keyboard sounds good. I, for some reason, think that this might be really comfortable to type on, so I think I might actually invest in it..

And then you will let us all know how it is cause im still playing on my normal genius keybord… time to do something bout that. Or maybe the next competition is a gaming keybord..

gah… R800 for a keyboard is retarded. No extra features or anything besides the shape just doesn’t seem worth it.

I have a R28 keyboard. The right shift key is giving problems. Sucks.
