What WAGE Has In Store For Us: FreeZone Servers Are About To Get A Whole Lot Better!
Web Africa Gaming, or WAGE, recently launched late last year where they offered something called “FreeZone”. The FreeZone pretty much means, if you have a Web Africa account, you play for free. You can use their gaming services which, includes downloads, to save money on bandwidth.
After meeting with the games masters at Web Africa, we started to understand that the company is currently concluding a massive deal with DICE & EA Games for Battlefield Bad Company 2 servers, as well as servers for any other game which the company will soon release. Battlefield Heroes, maybe?
While many might think, who cares? You should understand that DICE & EA only wants authenticated hosts for their new games. They won’t allow anyone to host Bad Company 2 servers as this might harm the integrity of the PC game.
A step forward like this is really massive for our country and it’s definitely necessary for gaming to grow.
Alongside FPS servers, WAGE has been floating around mystical host bots for DotA.
WAGE is planning to add DotA to the FreeZone, and we’ll write about this later — after testing. For now, get your Web Africa accounts ready.
Finally, the company is trying to organise a few Quake Live servers for FreeZone play as well.
