Bad Company 2 Demo Downloads Dramatically Increase
The last time we reported on Battlefield: Bad Company 2′s demo, the figure was sitting on over two million downloads, but now DICE has returned to give us new, mighty impressive stats. The number of downloads for the Bad Company 2 demo skyrocketed from over 2 million to roughly 3.5 million since the last report. That is one hell of a number, especially when pointing out that the last report didn’t even take into account the PC version’s demo downloads, and we don’t think this new figure counts it in either.
DICE provided some other interesting stats: 500 million overall kills, 100 million vehicle kills, 15 million knife kills, 30 million destroyed vehicles, 10 million head shots, and 25 million revives. Wow, there’s a lot of millions.
We’re excited to see whether this massive success streak can continue on once the full game is released, which is on the 2nd of March 2010 in North America and on the 5th of March in Europe and South Africa for the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox360. At this point in time, it looks like Bad Company 2 is geared up to go head-to-head with Infinity Ward’s Modern Warfare 2.
