Battlefield Bad Company 2 Won’t Let You Lie Down And Shoot

Battlefield Bad Company 2′ers, we’re just letting you that prone won’t be an option when fighting. The game’s lead writer and designer, David Goldfarb tweeted that “FYI: we will not add prone based on anything. You can stop asking now. (smiley face)”

After the David tweet, EA the game’s official Twitter account then decided to back him up by saying it’s true! Yes, it’s been said that EA/DICE doesn’t really like the prone action in games.

So, anyone interested in lying down while shooting should get another game.

    I agree with Fonix, even more so since they said a while ago that prone would be an exclusive action for the PC version of the game. I mean, prone was cool in Battlefield. :razz:

    But I guess, if you’ve played the beta, you would see that the maps are quite huge, well the one shown in the beta anyway, so it would probably be a bit of an irritation to have lots of snipers hiding in spots you can’t see them.. :???:

    Ah I don’t know, I personally like prone, but whatever, still looking forward to the game :grin:

    well it was in bf2 and it was fine, and those maps were big as well. i think it just adds to the realism abit.

    but ye if its in pc version then its fine since ill be playing on pc

      I meant that the devs said quite a while ago that prone would be an exclusive action on the PC version, but now that the beta is released they’re saying there will be no prone, which I was disappointed to find out. There is no button input for prone in the beta version’s controls, which confirms it – there is no prone. :razz:

      The confusion might have came in where I said that “prone was cool in Battlefield” – I was referring to past Battlefields, like Battlefield 2 :D
