Bungie Might Return to Halo After Halo: Reach, One Day

As it stands, upcoming Halo: Reach will be the last Bungie-developed game in the Halo series for the foreseeable future. Bungie have so far developed four successful Halo titles and the series is currently one of the biggest and best that the Xbox360 has to offer. However, it seems like Halo: Reach might not be their last Halo game ever, as one day there might be another one made by Bungie – after Halo: Reach of course.

“You know, it might be premature to say we’ll never ever, ever make a Halo game again” Bungie’s Brian Jarrard told CVG. “We sort of have a little special place for Halo in our hearts. But for the foreseeable future, this [Halo Reach] is it.”

CVG asked Brian Jarrard if the studio was feeling the pressure of making ‘the last Bungie Halo game’, to which he replied:

“There is a degree of pressure there but I also think that inspires our team. If we don’t ever come back to Halo again, we better damn well make sure that our last game is the best one ever. Let’s set that bar really high and at least leave our fans something really special.”

That means that upcoming Halo: Reach has quite a lot to live up to it would seem! We’ll find out if it does when it releases in Q3-Q4 of 2010 exclusively on Xbox360.
