Sony Is Happy About The Apple iPad — They Can’t Wait To Sell More PSP’s
Nintendo’s top-dog has already said that he isn’t impressed with the new Apple iPad, but Sony on the other hand is really stoked about it. The Japanese company said that they have a positive reaction to the device as it will help boost PSP sales.
Yeah — they are being serious about this.
“Apple’s entrance into the portable gaming space has been a net positive for Sony … when people want a deeper, richer console, they start playing on a PSP.” said John Koller, a Sony employee.
That statement above is pretty true, according to the facts. If we have a short peak at past events we saw that once Apple released the iPhone, PSP sales nearly tripled. This would be due to iPhone games not being ‘good enough’ when compared to other hand held devices — namely, the PSP.
