The Sims 3 Is Going Multiplatform – Heading to Consoles

Interestingly, it’s been confirmed that The Sims 3 will be arriving on consoles and handhelds sometime during this year. The game is listed as “The Sims 3 on Console Title” on EA’s financial results report, which states that the console version is due in Q3 of this year. EA stated that the game will be appearing on consoles and handhelds, so I’m guessing they mean PlayStation 3, Xbox360, Nintendo Wii, PlayStation Portable and the Nintendo DS.

We’ll have more solid information when it comes. Right now, just make sure that this news doesn’t reach those who are subject to Sim Syndrome, which is what I call the massive, yet inexplicable addiction to the Sims.
