Need Funding for Your Terrorist Organisation? Export PS2′s

It seems that the PS2 just can’t enough of the limelight. Even now, at age 10, it is still managing to make headlines. It has been reported that a man was exporting PS2′s to help fund the terrorist organisation Hezbullah. Haven’t heard of it? No surprise, what with those showboats Al-Qaeda & The Taliban hogging all the airtime. Anyway they pretty much operate from Lebanon and it is alleged that the guy in question, Khaled Safadi, was exporting PS2′s from Miami to a shopping mall in Paraguay.

He has subsequently been indicted on 11 counts of funding terrorism and has allegedly sold $720,000 worth in PS2′s. Sorry but up until now I’ve tried to write this with a straight face but damn! Thrown in GitMo for selling PS2′s. Seriously. The big question is what kind of games was he exporting with these consoles? Was he getting copies of realistic shooters to his boys in Lebanon via Paraguay? Is this how they train for their missions? Did they practice for 9/11 on Windows Flight Simulator? What next? Terrorists get fit by using the Wii?

Good news though, the guy is out on bail. God Bless America.
