Question Of The Day: Do You Obey Gaming Age Restrictions, And What Does It Mean To You?

For some of the younger folk out there, do you obey the age restriction of games? Many don’t, and personally I don’t see a problem with this as long as you’ve been brought up with good standards and morals.

I actually tend too feel that those who were not able to experience higher age restriction things land up breaking and misleading trust in attempts to do so anyway.

So, do you obey the gaming age restriction, and what does it really mean to you?

Question Of The Day has depreciated. Check out Question Of The Week instead.

When I was growing up, age restrictions meant ‘if you are not this old it will f*** you up coz its got blood and guts and stuff in it’ which is a lie. But these days it means ‘ if you are not this old, it will fill your head with wayward ideas that may destabilise mexico’
So in a word, no. i don’t care about restricictions.

I’ve never followed age restrictions  I’ve played GTA and the works when I was 12 already, same with movies, purely because, well, I don’t see any logical reason as to why I shouldn’t be playing these games or watching these movies. They’re fun and entertaining, and I don’t go running around trying to chop up people with samurai swords or chainsaws because I played it.

More seriously, I feel that if you have the maturity and capacity to understand that what’s in a game stays in a game, so to speak, then there shouldn’t be any problem. I don’t think you need to be of age, you just need to have an understanding and some degree of maturity. Usually good parenting helps too and, well, common sense. :)

Same. For as long as I can remember, I’ve watched stuff and played games that had a way higher age restriction than my age was. I’d say my best was From dusk till dawn the movie that I watched when I was like 11.
