SOCOM 4 Officially Unveiled And Due This Fall

It has been confirmed, on the Official PlayStation Blog, by Jeremy Dunham, community manager at Zipper Interactive, that S.O.C.O.M 4: US Navy SEALs is currently in development exclusively for the PlayStation 3. The game is due to release this fall, which is around October, and will be developed by Zipper Interactive, the guys behind SOCOM 1, 2, 3, and Combined Assault on the PlayStation 2 as well as the PlayStation 3′s online shooter, MAG.

SOCOM 4 will feature 14 singleplayer campaign missions and 32-player multiplayer. Check out some screenshots and the debut trailer for the game below. A pretty weak trailer, to be blunt, but anyway. Oh, and Zipper Interactive have confirmed that they are still fully committed to supporting MAG for a long time, so SOCOM 4 won’t be stealing its thunder.
