Sony Vows To Protect Your PlayStation
Although Sony’s products are fa less likely to break down than most, they still strive for excellence and have therefore brought a service which allows PS3, PSP-3000 and PSPgo owners to extend their warranty.
All Sony consoles already come with a 1-year warranty but owners can now extend that to 2 or even 3 years, for a fee of course. this service will be valid for any machine that is still under its original warranty. PSP owners can also opt for the Accidental Damage Plan which covers any damage done by the owner, such as cracked screens or loose buttons.
The one year extension is available at $50 for the PS3 and $30 for PSP’s while the 2 year extension is available at $60 for the PS3 and $40 for PSP’s. The Accidental damage plan which includes the standard warranty extension goes for $40 for a year and $50 for two.
The service is currently only available in the US but may well be going worldwide soon.
