What’s the regular price for Starcraft 2? Even at R450 (the special price) it’s still way too expensive for a PC game, what was Blizzard thinking?

Potty, the regular price for Starcraft II is anything from R465 to R529…I’m guessing you’ll find the latter price at most retail stores.

The price is damn high, but I don’t think Blizzard mind, since everyone would buy it anyway  Their game is super high end, and most likely its the price they need to set to recover costs while making the game…or they’re just being evil

    Blizzard is thinking.. SC2 :P

Well it is 1 of 3 so I’d guess the other 2 would be cheaper.

LOL the saving is only R8 if you go to edreams with out going through egamer then it is R457 if you go through egamer then it is R449

All games differ in their discounts :) Remember that retail rules/prices/restrictions still matter, even with discounts, so it’s not like you’ll see the price reduced to R400 or something that extreme for a game like Starcraft II. Profits still have to be made.

That said, even though it’s only by R8, the price we have is amongst the cheapest you’ll find for the game. :) Other games/gaming related items will all have different discounts, some more significant, some less, like in this case.

Furthermore, if you win a R200 voucher in one of our QOTW or competitions, you can receive a further discount on the game/item you wish to purchase ;-)

Considering that the game cost $100 million to create R±500 is not bad

I see there have been a few comments left regarding the eGamer price which we (eDreams) are offering. I’d like to point out that the RRP for this game is R499 so the discount you see of R8 is actually a further discount off the already discounted price.
If you’re paying R449 then you’re actually receiving a discount of R50 off the RRP.

If you want to save further money, take advantage of our 6 day free delivery promotion. This will save you around another R50. Promotion ends Tuesday.
