A Wii Tablet For All Your Sorrows
Okay, not exactly. Later this year, THQ will be launching its very own Wii tablet aimed at 6-12 year olds.
Officially called the uDraw game Tablet, it measures 9×7 ” or roughly the same size as a Wii and can be used by connecting the tablet to a Wii remote. a stylus then allows users to draw or play games. It comes standard with uDraw software which is essentially like a slightly more complex version of MS Paint. Titles such as Pictionary and Dood’s Big Adventure (that title makes me sad) are available as well for $29.99 (R236) each.
Nintenod has abosultely nothing to do with the peripheral but was optimistic about the new peripheral: “We are impressed with THQ’s innovative design and focus on bringing a new gameplay experience to the Wii owner with their uDraw GameTablet,” said Steve Singer, vice-president of Licensing for Nintendo of America, in an official statement. “Nintendo is committed to providing fun and unique experiences and THQ’s uDraw GameTablet seems destined to continue that trend.”
THQ has yet to confirm a release date and price for the peripheral.
