Gamescom 2010: Move Beats Kinect To Major Award

The huge German trade show, Gamescom, brought us all sorts of exciting news and announcements this past week, but it seems that the awarding phase went differently to how people expected it to.

Gamescom has crowned Sony’s PlayStation Move controller as the best hardware accessory as the show. The jury, who are a number of celebrated German video games industry experts, gave Sony’s peripheral the vote over Microsoft’s Kinect.

Best hardware accessory: PlayStation Move

Best console game: Gran Turismo 5

Best mobile/handheld game: Super Scribblenauts

Best online game: Guild Wars 2

Best PC game: Crysis 2

Best Family Entertainment: Kirby’s Epic Yarn
