Meet The eBox: China’s Very Own Kinect
Every great invention is followed by some sort of Chinese knock-off. From cars, to clothing, to babies. Therefore the next knock-off had to be Microsoft’s Kinect.
And, it is Microsoft Kinect.
Eedoo Software has announced the eBox, a device which works without controls.
The eBox will do the same thing as Kinect — offer a gaming interface which does not need a controller. There’s a webcam, and other copied-technology, which allows for a motion control system. The package will come with a staggering 30 free games.
Unfortunately–or is that fortunately?–it will only be available in China. Pricing is expected to be less than the Xbox 360 and Kinect bundle.
Jack Luo, president of Beijing Eedoo Technology said, “Our product is designed for family entertainment. eBox may not have exquisite game graphics, or extensive violence, but it can inspire family members to get off the couch and get some exercise.”
That’s what counts folks. Exercise, not exquisite graphics or extensive violence.
