Rumour: Microsoft Modifying The D-Pad On The Xbox 360 Controller?

Rumour has it that Microsoft are looking to release a new Xbox 360 controller with a modified d-pad. According to the source, the d-pad will be able to turn 90-degrees where it will raise up about half a centimeter. This modification is said to help fighting game fans.

For those confused, the d-pad is the funny button set on the bottom left hand-side of the controller. It’s rarely used by anyone normal–Street Fighter fans, are they normal?–mainly because it’s built to be annoying.

We’re not sure if this will be a standard feature on all new controllers, or if it will be a one-off special remote. That being said, there’s not much other news on this.
