3D Blu-Ray Update Hits PS3 In October

Sony has confirmed that come October, the Ps3 will receive a firmware update rendering it capable of 3D Blu-ray movie playback. This is a whole month later than the original date for the firmware update but you won’t miss much in that time because there really isn’t anything on Blu-ray in 3D yet and come October, there still won’t be.

When the update releases, all that you’ll actually be able to watch with the new firmware are Michael Jackson’s This Is It and Alice In Wonderland with Spider-man 3, Avatar and Green Hornet releasing some time later.

Not much to get excited about just yet.
