Remedy Talks Alan Wake 2

Remedy, despite refusing to officially announce Alan Wake 2, seem to enjoy talking about the sequel – often. It makes me wonder if they’re waiting for a huge uprising from fans demanding it to be announced, resulting in some sort of humongous hype-o-train being created.

So, my hyperbolic thoughts aside, head of franchise development Osarki Hakkinen, when speaking to the latest issue of OXM on plot twists, turns and cliffhangers, said “The pieces will start to fall together.”

“The first episode is The Signal and shortly after that we’ll follow with The Writer and if there’s one thing we can promise it’s by the end of The Writer you’ll definitely know where we’re going to go with Alan Wake.”

“We not going to leave you on a cliffhanger. Our plan was that Alan Wake is Season One, core story, the DLC bridges to where we’re possibly going to go, and then Season Two is a full story.”

“You don’t even need to have played Season One to enjoy Season Two – they’re full story arcs.”

Remedy still insists that Alan Wake 2 isn’t confirmed, yet they’ve been talking as though the game is already well on its way to us. Interesting.
