Resident Evil 6 Gets Teased By Franchise Boss

Capcom executive and the mastermind designer of Mega Man, Keiji Inafune, has teased, in a rather obvious manner, the possibility of an upcoming announcement for Resident Evil 6.

In a recent interview with Spanish website 3D Juegos, Inafune said that the success of Resident Evil 5 meant that Capcom is eager to get a new entry in the franchise out soon.

“Given the great success that supposed for us Resident Evil 5, we want that Resident Evil 6 leaves as rapidly as possible to the market. In fact, you will shortly have the news of Capcom about this…” said Inafune.

I hope Resident Evil 6 is not like RE5 – a not-at-all scary action fest. It was great co-op though, I won’t deny that.

Perhaps the next entry in the Resident Evil franchise will get announced at TGS.
