Sony Conquers PSJailbreak…In Australia

Yes, Sony has drawn first blood in its battle against PSJailbreak. An Australian court has permanently banned retailers from selling the Jailbreak device after a temporary injunction expired earlier this week.

Australian retailers OzModChips, ModSupplier, and Quantronics have all removed the product from shelves but this wasn’t enough for the international electronics giant, Sony has also managed to succesfully claim damages for the sale of PSJailbreak forcing all retailers to turn over any profit made from the sales of the device as well as added compensation for the inconvenience caused to Sony.

The ruling also renders it illegal to import Jailbreak while Sony has already moved on to file a lawsuit against Zoomba LDC who distributes the device in the US.

I’m sorry but if you manage to win any battle in Australia, it doesn’t count. It simply doesn’t mean a thing.
