Bioware Expanding Star Wars: The Old Republic Beta
Rejoice all you Star Wars and MMO fans out there! Bioware has finally decided to expand their beta for Star Wars: The Old Republic. A beta whose applications began pouring in little over two years ago.
Bioware confirmed on their official forums that invitations for their “Beta Testing Weekend #2″ have now been sent out.
“Beta Testing Weekends for Star Wars: The Old Republic began earlier this month and during our first weekend, we invited more players into testing than we’ve ever invited before in a single weekend! Now we’re getting ready for another Beta Testing Weekend, starting on October 7th and finishing on October 11th. With increased invite numbers from the first weekend, even more of you will get to play The Old Republic.”
Community Manager Stephen Reid confirmed that this is the largest batch of invites sent for the beta thus far.
“Fun fact: with this weekend we’re inviting as many testers in one go as we currently have in testing. So, you know, a lot.”
Considering that we don’t even know when the game will be available locally, I’m not too sure how high the probability is that your neighbour will get an invite. However, it is good news that more beta testers are finally being allowed in, with these types of Testing Weekends continuing until release day. Have you received an email of acceptance?
