BT Games Hosting Forza Motorsport 4 Tournament

You think you’re a racing simulator master? Well, Dean thinks that he is. For everyone else, BT Games is hosting the racing challenge of the year with Forza Motorsport 4 for Xbox 360. The competition will begin on November 1st, and will incorporate stores from around the country. Full details can be seen below.

Round 1 – Time Trials

Get to your nearest BT Games store (see below for a full list of participating stores) for a first round of time trials. Give us your best lap time by playing the game in-store. The race, car and track will be pre-determined to keep things fair. Participants will be competing nationally with BT Games stores around the country. Results will be recorded between 01 – 25 November 2011. The Daily Leader Boards will be updated on the BT Games website, and only the Top 20 lap times will make it through to Round 2. (details will be up later tomorrow)

Round 2 – Semi-Finals

If you make it to Round 2, you’ll be asked to return to the store to compete against 19 other racers on a new track with a new car. You need to make sure that your lap time is recorded between 09:00am and 11:00am for it to be valid. Then, it’s on to Round 3.

Round 3 – The Final!

Only 10 finalists will take part in the race-decider one last time on 26 November at 11:30am. There are prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

Up for grabs!

3rd Place Prize – A copy of Forza Motorsport 4, a Limited Edition Silver Controller with Play&Charge Kit and a R1000 BT Games voucher, valued at R2200.

2nd Place Prize – A copy of Forza Motorsport 4, Gears of War 3, a Limited Edition Silver Controller with Play&Charge Kit and R2000 BT Games voucher, valued at R3800.

Is that a rhetorical question? :P

Jokes but seriously, this tournament sounds awesome. It’s a pity I’ve let my racing skills slip not forgetting the fact that I’m not even an Xbox gamer. If I’d been honing my mad skills, I’d wipe the floor with Dean. /:P

It makes no sense to exclude Durban though.

There’s no Durban because Indian-approved modifications for a GTI don’t exist in the game.

Great to see another local company stepping up to the plate and hosting an event like this.
