Deus Ex “Missing Link” DLC Priced And Dated

Deus Ex “Missing Link” DLC Priced And Dated

“The Missing Link” is set to add onto a game that already should take you around 20 hours or more to complete. That’s right, the first piece of Deus Ex: Human Revolution DLC is set to release soon and…wait, it’s releasing tomorrow? Really!? And how much does it cost? $15? Really!? Damn, well that just burst my bubble.

Coming in at $15 on the PC and PlayStation 3, and 1,200 Microsoft points on the Xbox 360, Missing Link is set to fill in a three-day gap in protagonist Adam Jensen’s adventure, so there is a slight SPOILER alert for those of you who still have to finish the main quest.

The Missing Link follows up on events that transpire during the full version of Deus Ex, in which Adam Jensen goes mysteriously AWOL for a three-day period. Square Enix describes this episode as a time when Jensen has lost his augmentation powers and must escape a freighter using only the abilities nature gave him.

The Missing Link introduces a handful of new characters and enemies that play into the game’s storyline. Square Enix also played up the add-on’s opportunity to rebuild Jensen’s augmentations from scratch.

At $15, it’s a bit of a steep price tag, even if the game adds 3-8 hours of augmented fun. Take into account all the other expensive titles coming out nearly every week now, and this DLC’s sales figures just deem to be getting dimmer. Will you be picking it up tomorrow?

I’ll definitely pick it up some time but not tomorrow. I stopped playing the game at the time this DLC occurs but I’ll have my hands full with Batman and then in November there’s AC:R, Uncharted 3 and Saints Row 3.

DLC is way too expensive. Especially for 3 hours (we all know it won’t actually be 8).
