Prototype 2 Does Dismemberment With Finesse

Check out the latest trailer for Prototype 2. It’s packed with lost of action and gives you a good look at the revised combat system. Despite only being in alpha stages, the game also looks to have been given a major graphical update over its predecessor.

Prototype 2 is scheduled for release on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 on 24 April 2012.

    I like that there’s now some skill and timing involved in combat with the addition of dodging and countering. They’ve also done well in expanding the players powers. Hopefully they made the right choice or a not so bad choice in changing characters.

      I’m sure you’ll have no problem with the lead being black and he doesn’t even seem to be a stereotype so that’s gotta be a step in the right direction.

      I think Heller’s personality fits with the more refined and targeted combat system over Mercer’s frantic button-mashing. The style’s suit each character’s personality in a way.

      Hells yes! Once you go black, you don’t go back.

      I liked Mercer a lot and don’t really want to confront him in the game and then kill him and I kinda don’t feel like that would happen but I also don’t want Heller to die at the end or something. Hopefully a greater threat will arise or something like PARIAH or something that a common threat to both Heller and Mercer.

      Now there’s an idea but I guess the emotional conflict will help in getting you to feel the gravity of Heller’s actions a little bit more because in the first game Mercer would have this whole emotional soul-searching introspection and then hack down a thousand soldiers.

    This game just keeps looking better every time I see it. Hopefully the story will be better this time.

    Oh yeah I should probably add Prototype to my gaming bucket list. But I wasnt a big fan of inFamous and everyone says its so similar…
