The Citadel Returns In All Its Glory In Mass Effect 3

The Citadel Returns In All Its Glory In Mass Effect 3

Who here remembers running through the Citadel for the first few hours of the first Mass Effect?

From having a chat with the council with their constant “we’ve dismissed those claims” to recruiting the various members of your eventual squad that would constitute the “badass” element to stopping off at the Consort Chambers for some Asari loving, with Sha’ira, the Citadel was alive and abuzz, and proved quite the hub of intrigue for those who opted to stop by between missions in the first game.

It then came as quite a shock to everyone to see what was basically a bunch of rooms forming the ‘Citadel’ component of Mass Effect 2, with none of the atmosphere and overall feel of the first game’s version.

Well, our plight has been heard and Mass Effect 3′s lead writer Mac Walter is here to tell us that we’ve a lot to look forward to in the upcoming threequel.

“There was a Mass Effect 2 plot that was a kind of a callback to the first Mass Effect that was going to be on the Citadel, and we cut it. But now it’s made a resurrection in Mass Effect 3, so I’m happy, but I can’t say what it is,” he explained in an interview.

“That’s the nice thing about trilogies, sometimes you get a second chance.”

Not only then, will the Citadel be returning in some element of its glory, hopefully with that piece of shit Mako still burning next to the entrance to the Embassy, but there are quests to be found in the game that should have been in Mass Effect 2 but were cut.

It’s like free DLC, or something.

Did you prefer Mass Effect 2′s Citadel, or would you welcome a return to the Presidium from the first game?

PS3 person so I wouldn’t know but could you really get with Sha’ira? I only heard about such a person from a Krogan in the Citadel in ME2. They should definitely remake the Citadel of ME1.
