Valve Wants You To Play DOTA 2 Now

DOTA 2 may not have a release date yet, but that shouldn’t stop you from trying to get into the beta, especially since Valve has just announced that they will be expanding their closed beta in the coming weeks. All you have to do is fill out a survey and hope that by some divine miracle you are chosen.

Ok, I’m making this sound less and less hopeful as I go, but in truth it really isn’t. Valve wants to really expand the beta, and starting this week, they will be sending out invitations to prospective testers. People interested should’ve already received an email from Steam (like I did), or you can simply fill out the survey here. Just make sure to have Steam open and updated before clicking on the link.

And when Valve says that they want to expand the beta, they really mean it. Every person who is invited in the coming weeks will also receive an additional 2 keys for him/her to dish out to deserving friends. Now that’s how you run a successful beta.

Have you completed the survey already? Do you think your chances are high? Let us know in the comments below.

Will give you guys an invite when I most probably going to receive it. :D I’ve been a Valve supporter for years. Had steam since the Orange Box arrived and internet was super expensive back then. B)

Although, you can give a key to all your friends on Steam if I’m not mistaken.

    Your link’s wrong. It’s actually “steam://takesurvey/1/”

Thanks for pointing that out. It stuffed in the “http//” part without me knowing :P All fixed now

Am somewhat surprised to say I have no interest in trying to get a beta, for the time being (no idea when that’ll change though :/). Will still keep on reading news-articles/forum-posts about DotA 2 and it’s progress.

I sighed a bit at the question about how many hours of Dota I’ve played. The highest option was 500+ and I’m on like 3000.
