VGA 2011: Last Of Us Is The Next Game From Naughty Dog

You know, it’s as if Naughty Dog were actually reading our site.

Just last week we told you that the developer might be taking a long and well-deserved break from gaming development now that Uncharted 3 has released, and just like that, they come out of the woodwork at this year’s VGAs with the trailer above.

Entitled ‘Last of Us’, this game seems very much like I Am Legend (the movie adaptation of it, anyway) but instead of a man and his dog, you get a man and his, err, is that his daughter or…

In any case, it seems a suitably cinematic experience and one that is very much Uncharted-esque in execution, but any further details remain entirely undisclosed.

Still, it’s a pretty awesome trailer, wouldn’t you say?

    This looks great. How does Naughty Dog always push the PS3 further past it’s limits with each new game they release. I mean I’m guessing we aren’t gonna see this game released for a long time but it already looks noticeably better than Uncharted 3. :O

    I was also checking out IGN(please don’t kill me) yesterday and they had an article about something(newspaper article) in Uncharted 3 about the events of this game.

    The link above is about Naughty Dog splitting into 2 teams after Uncharted 2. Uncharted 3 and this are made by 2 separate teams.

    Yes, it’s scheduled for a 2013 release, but more importantly that tells us that Sony have no plans for a PS4 in 2013, or if they do then they’re holding off on it.

      I hope you’re right about the PS4 release but a game being released in the same year isn’t enough to go on.

      Apparently it’s been in development for 2 years already. It could be releasing sooner than we expected.
